    Teachers

My 2004 Plea to Parents and Teachers

Children’s oral healthcare education has a new beginning! It’s now in the 21st Century! An up-to-date, new oral hygiene instruction ‘Treat Your Mouth’.  Plus, not just fancy leaflets, a colouring-in-book or an annual promotion, it’s hands on stuff with kids oral health BOOKS and a kids oral health C.D. with all the oral healthcare advice kids need every day, several times a day, from their best oral healthcare educators, PARENTS and TEACHERS! 21st Century oral healthcare has at last moved on from the ‘Brush Your Teeth’ era of horse and carts and ‘learn something about it once every 6 months’. The very latest and best advice is now at your fingertips every day!

I implore parents and teachers to give children only this oral hygiene instruction: ‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday, 3 times every day. It is a complete all about a smile instruction. It will make your teeth gums and tongue healthier. It will “make your mouth fresher all day “.‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday, repeated 3 times every day.

The smiling faces of primary school children is very much in the hands of their parents and their teachers. Only parents are able to instruct children every day to ‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday and to learn all about a smile. Teachers are in the box seat to educate children to ‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday and to educate children all about a smile. Children are losing their baby teeth and getting their permanent teeth in a period extending over 8 years or more. From the very beginning to the end of this period children must be constantly reminded to ‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday. They will then more predictably enjoy lifetime oral health benefits of  white teeth healthy gums fresh breath and a ‘smile 2 shine’. They will then be more likely to know all about a smile.

Children’s education, whether it is in children’s school education or in children’s home education, should include children’s health education which in turn should include children’s oral healthcare education. Children’s smiles can enormously affect their futures either positively or negatively.

But children have, and it seems like forever, been receiving either not enough dental advice or some inappropriate advice. They are suffering from oral diseases! There are many easily preventable diseases in the mouths of children in primary schools, K-12 schools. Children desperately need lessons to prevent or to arrest decay, to stop plaque, to stop bad breath. They need these lessons when they are at that age. In primary school! Advice here and there now and again is not the answer. They need the MouthWise Books, The MouthWise “4 Your Smile 2 Shine” C.D. and preferably they need MouthWise Adventures 4 Kids.

Everyone of the following, variously described, oral diseases IS preventable. Bad breath. Bleeding gums. Sore gums. Swollen gums. Gum disease. Gum problems. Holes in teeth. Tooth cavities. Tooth decay. Tooth abscess. Plaque. Plaque build up. Plaque on teeth. Plaque on gums. Scale on teeth. The list is endless.

Parents and teachers, I implore you to help me to help prevent oral disease in children. Never tire to instruct children to ‘Treat Your Mouth’ and treat your mouth everyday. Make it a part of their oral healthcare  education. Introduce them to MouthWise Adventures 4 Kids. Children’s best oral healthcare education. Teach them all about a smile.

    2010 Update

19 February 2010. Six years on. I will never give up trying to help children prevent oral diseases!

However since my final editing of the 10 books I have changed my MouthWise Oral Hygiene instruction Treat Your Mouth to Treat Your Whole Mouth. Why?

Because that, Treat Your Whole Mouth,  is a more precise instruction for children to follow and it is what they HAVE to do to 10 clean their whole mouth to get rid of dirt from every surface inside their mouth and 2) to protect their whole mouth from easily preventable oral diseases.

Watch out for the imminent release, on this website and on You Tube and similar sites, of fifteen videos that will help me to help you and any and everyone interested in preventing oral diseases in children
